We met Longfellow while shopping at a barn sale.  Longfellow was napping in the dirt and wandering around the property the whole time we shopped. The family asked if we wanted him, and we couldn't help but think they were joking. After talking with the family we discovered Longfellow's dad (and primary caregiver) had passed away and his mom was moving into an assisted living facility. The family wasn't sure what they were going to do with Longfellow, but we knew we could help.

Our friend Sue fostered Longfellow while we looked for a forever home.  Thanks to some help from Northern California Dachshund Rescue, we connected with a sweet family looking to add a senior to their home.  Longfellow is now living in the Bay Area, where he goes to work with his dad most days.  We've received several updates and we couldn't be happier for him!
